Technology is making a huge modification in existing machines or tools in order to solve problem at higher level and make life comfortable. Screen less display is one of the most interesting subjects in technologies and research on this is increasing by exponential scale day by day. It is a system of transferring information/data though an electronic video source without using screen at all. Few parts of this technology are being used at present but they are not so advance yet. This technology is divided into 3 major categories. Let’s find out what they are in our latest article on Top Upcoming Screen Less Display technology that may change the world.
3. Visual Image
It includes any image that your eye can perceive. Most popular example is Hologram. You might have heard or seen this technology in latest fiction movies such Iron Man, Avengers etc. But they are not as advanced as shown in the film.
Holographic Display

Hologram is the advanced form of photography which displays a 3 dimensional image. It involves a few components such as
- Laser (Helium neon)
- Lens
- Object
- Mirror
- Holographic Film
The quality of image depends on the position and orientation of viewing systems. A laser and an object beam when interfere which each other they create an illusion of 3d image. You can record the image for further processing by simply recording the interference and diffraction pattern.
Few other examples
- Heads up display in airplanes
- Virtual reality goggles
In all above cases, Light is reflected by some intermediate objects before it reaches to the retina.
2. Retina Display
The aim is to produce a wide angle-of-view, high resolution, high brightness, full color and low cost virtual display. The process includes the formation of raster display directly onto the retina. Eye tap and bionic contact lenses are a great example of this technology.
Eye Tap

It’s a device that worn in front of the eye that acts as a camera as well as monitor. It uses a beam splitter to send the scene to both the camera and the eye. You can say that Google glasses are an advance version of an eye taps. The user can experience side effects such as difficulty in sleeping and headache.

Bionic lenses are still being developed to provide a better virtual display. They are same as conventional lens that worn on the eye but have some additional complicated materials such as
- Electric circuit with red light-emitting diodes
- Sensor
- Micro size silicon chip
You can control the display intensity and all functions by your voice. The transferring of information is done through infrared rays within the lens. The lens is expected to have more capabilities in the area where the human eye could not see.
1. Synaptic Interface

Synaptic interface is a far advance technology which does not use a light at all. The visual information is directly sent to the brain. This is exactly like displaying a character to a blind person. The technology is still under huge development and not tested on humans yet.
The Screenless technology has endless application as far as the human mind can imagine. They can be used in
- Security system
- Effective communication
- Education
- Business
- Planning
- Broadcast

We all know this kind of displays have infinite advantages that can change the world but in the meantime they also have a few disadvantages that can damage the human eye.
Hi Rahul,
Wow….!!! what a collection! I never heard about Synaptic Interface. Is it future technology or Synaptic Interface is already available to use?
Hey Pompa good to see you here again:)
It’s a far advanced technology that never has been used on humans yet. However the concept is based on brain-computer interface.
